The Turtle Lover's Utopia

Turtle Derby Documentary

Every July 4th for the past 50 years a small hometown in Pennsylvania has held an annual turtle race – a fun event that sounds like something from a Mark Twain story.  But this year, the state outlawed collecting turtles from the wild because they’re becoming endangered.   It’s a fun and funny opportunity to see what happens when tradition and environmental issues collide.

Shown from the uniquely insightful, candid and often hilarious perspective of children, Turtle Derby gives voice to the turtle – a slow, silent, unassuming symbol of wisdom – and reveals that both children and turtles have a lot to teach us.

This project is part of the Kickstarter program and could use a boost! Kickstarter is an ALL OR NOTHING proposition. That means they NEED to meet their goal of $12,000 by the deadline of July 24th. If they raise even a dollar short of our goal, they lose it all. EVERYTHING WILL BE REFUNDED and no rewards can be given! PLEASE help them prevent this from happening by donating today!
